On November 8th, 1966 in Johnstone, Renfrewshire Ramsay was born. His father Gordon James Senior was in different odd jobs and a severe alcoholic. Ramsay faced a lot of turbulence in his childhood due to the alcoholic behavior and the financial instability of his father. They had to shift to several of the places due to the failure of his father to take care of the family.

At the age of 16, he decided to come out of his family and start an independent life of his own. He moved to Banbury. As a kid, he enjoyed playing football, but couldn’t make it big. He had to undergo many injuries hence he stayed away from the sports for a while.
